Earlier this month, EDFA held its Supervisory Board Meeting and Board of Directors election in Vilnius, hosted by Fintech Hub LT. Alongside strategic discussions and program updates, we welcomed our newly elected Board of Directors: Don Ginsel, Alessandra Guion-Gambrill, Ana-Maria Georgescu, Florence de Maupeou, Gabor Davidhazy, Jiri Hauptmann, Karsten Wenzlaff, Niklas Sandqvist, and Piotr Brewiński. We thank all outgoing board members for their dedicated service and contributions to EDFA’s growth.
Fintech Visits to DG FISMA
This month features the Czech fintech ecosystem, presented by the Czech Fintech Association and two standout market players. These visits are a core part of our engagement with the European Commission, showcasing fintech diversity across member states.

EDFA Working Groups
Two major position papers on FIDA and PSD3/PSR1—were recently published, marking a key milestone in EDFA’s policy work. These papers reflect the active engagement and expertise of our Working Groups, which bring together fintech voices from across Europe and offer a truly multi-market perspective on regulatory developments.
Joint Letter on FIDA Regulation
EDFA is a co-signatory, alongside AEFI, AFEPAME, EMA, ETPPA, France FinTech, FRIDA, PSD2SIG, and the Swedish FinTech Association, of an open letter sent on 31 March 2025 to the European Commission and Parliament.
The letter confirms the ecosystem’s support for the Commission’s proposal for a regulation on access to financial data, while also calling for a number of targeted adjustments to the proposed FIDA regulation to strengthen its implementation and impact. View the letter here
EDFA Response: Savings and Investment Union
EDFA has responded to the European Commission’s Call for Evidence, highlighting the role of Fintech in boosting financial inclusion, innovation, and cross-border investment access.
We call for stronger integration of digital solutions, better regulatory consistency, and fair treatment of Fintech in the Capital Markets Union. Read the full response here
