| The proceedings of the 2020 SEFI Annual Conference, that was organised by University of Twente and the Dutch 4TU as well as the Saxion University, are now published on our website. They relate to the topic of Engaging Engineering Education and the tulips on the cover were planted and photographed by some of the 2019 annual conference participants. |

| The editorial team of the European Journal for Engineering Education, the official journal of SEFI, is seeking one ore more associate editors. An Associate Editor is expected to manage the review process for up to 12 manuscripts per year. This includes recruiting and communicating with reviewers and preparing proposals for decisions about manuscripts. |

My colleagues and me had a fantastic, freshly re-designed challenge-based learning, flip-the-classroom ethics course for 240 studentsready, when the pandemic hit. It quickly became evident that the whole course would have to be taught online. This meant that we had to construct an entire online teaching method from scratch very quickly. The most interesting part of this process, to me, was everything we disagreed about. |

| It is with great sadness that we were recently informed of the death of Prof. Dr. Gaston Wolf (79) former member of the SEFI Board and SEFI Vice-President, and organiser of the successful and memorable SEFI Annual Conference 1999 in Winterthur/Zürich. Gaston was a fantastic professor, a well-known and very appreciated personality in Switzerland and in USA, an exceptionally dedicated SEFI member for decades, always demonstrating quite a special and personal sense of humour, and I must say, a great great friend of mine. All our sympathies go to his family in Switzerland and in USA, his friends all over the world, with a very special thought to his wife Ursula, who always accompanied him in his SEFI activities. | The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Education and Learning (CEL) is launching its first MOOC on Multidisciplinary Research Methods for Engineers on edX on January 13, 2021. Course Instructors prof. Marcus Specht and dr. Gillian Saunders-Smits on their motivation to develop the course: “As an interuniversity and interdisciplinary centre we believe that working together with researchers from different scientific fields is key in bringing education and learning technology to the next level. Collaboration in a multidisciplinary field can be challenging, that is why we created the new MOOC: Multidisciplinary Research Methods for Engineers!” |

In recognition of her work in re-envisioning engineering education around the world, IFEES honored Sheryl Sorby (United States of America) with the 2020 IFEES Duncan Fraser Global Award for Excellence in Engineering Education. The award was given at the occasion of the GEDC-WEEF 2020 Virtual Conference that took place in November. |
