Dear friends,
Our inspiational quotes this month come from the Shams of Tabriz:
“Love is a travel. All travellers whether they want or not are changed. No one can travel into Love and remain the same.” “Instead of resisting changes, surrender. Let life be with you, not against you. If you think ‘My life will be upside down’ don’t worry. How do you know down is not better than upside?” “You can study God through everything and everyone in the universe, because God is not confined in a mosque, synagogue or church. But if you are still in need of knowing where exactly God's abode is, there is only one place to look: in the heart of a true lover.”
Here are this month's opportunities to create and share sacred space together by singing and dancing .

A life-affirming online evening of chants,
body prayer and meditation
With Karim Hadden and Alan Heeks
Our theme is:
GREETING LIFE WITH GRATITUDE.
Rumi reminds us that sorrow prepares us for joy and compares being human to being a guest house where, he advises, we should be grateful for whoever comes because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. In this evening, through our usual combination of dance, song and embodied spiritual practices we will both acknowledge our sorrows and open ourselves to the transformative power of gratitude to harmonize the music of our lives and increase our capacity to live in community with more joy and courage. Alan Heeks has been exploring how people can grow with Nature for many years, with many groups at Hazel Hill Wood, the retreat centre he founded. His spiritual path weaves elements from the Sufi, Christian, Celtic and other traditions.

Karim Hadden is a highly experienced leader of devotional singing and Dances of Universal Peace. He has followed the path of Universal Sufism for many years and also works as a Craniosacral therapist.
