| | | Happy Friyay! We've made it to the end of the week, and what a week it's been! With our veg garden looking fuller than ever, our flower fields still producing stems, our livestock all happy and healthy and a big birthday in Team Flowers (Happy Birthday Nanda!), we all have big smiles on our faces. On top of all that, Barry went to the Soil Association's annual conference yesterday and met lots of like minded people who were all there to hear about what was happening in the world of Organic farming. Organic eating is on the rise! |
| | | | | | That was the message Barry took away from the Soil Association's conference yesterday. It was reported that the UK's organic market has grown to £3.9 billion with an 83% household penetration. Supermarket unit growth for organic food and drink significantly outperformed non-organic alternatives. Sector leaders also discussed the English Organic Action Plan that was released by Defra earlier this week, which pushes for targets like 10% of English land farmed organically by 2030. This is very exciting news, and we are so pleased that more people are starting to see the benefits of going organic. Thank you to all of our customers for helping us drive our passion for sustainable and ethical farming forward. |

| | | | | | Team flowers had an exceptionally busy summer. Having secured our first big wholesale contract with FlowerVision based in Bristol earlier this year, the hardworking lot could often be seen out in the fields at the crack of dawn, picking the stems for that day's delivery. They have produced a lovely video as a nod to the season, which you can watch by clicking the image above. As well as looking back, they are also busy prepping the materials to make our lovely wreaths, whilst planning the workshops in December! Secure your spot by booking below. |
