Autumn Newsletter

Image description

Celebrating our 1st birthday! Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter.

Can you believe it? One whole year settled beautifully into our new home, here in Aberlour. A year of growth, learning, creating, events, workshops, and many new & old relationships blossoming! Thank you to everyone who makes this possible and who loves our treasured gallery just as much as we do.

We have now firmly found our feet and filling those shelves top to bottom with beautiful stock we are proud to show off. Most importantly, we have been working on what makes us special - our people and their knowledge. We wanted to create somewhere that felt welcoming, friendly and genuinely useful — a place where you could pop in with an idea, a question, a project that had gone slightly wrong (we’ve all been there!), or even just a desire to discover something new.

We have created amazing relationships with likeminded local fellow crafting geniuses. Between us, there is a huge amount of knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and, most importantly, a genuine love for crafting. If we can't answer your question we certainly know someone who will! We’re not just here to point you towards a product on a shelf — we want you to achieve the best results and help you every step of the way.

At the very heart of it all,

Sarah -

With over 15 years of experience in creative crafting classes and workshops, I would love to offer more of my time and knowledge to help others get back their crafting spark. Let's finish those half done projects, get you over that hurdle, and inspire you to create gorgeous pieces.

I always hear "I would love the workshop but I cannot make that date" or "I have so many half finished projects".. So I would love to offer some 1 to 1 sessions, personal to you, and your crafting needs, you choose the date and time to suit.

Knitting, felting, peg loom, sewing, you name it and I would love to help you achieve your creating goals. And if I cant, I'll know someone who can!

Life gets so busy we tend to put our creatives to one side, but lets make a change, and make it our place to escape and relax and connect.

If you’re a maker and would like a place to sell your work, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Our home is filled with local artwork and handmade goods. Whether you spin, sew, knit, crochet, paint, sculpt, felt, silversmith, pot, upcycle, bead, work in fashion or mixed media, we’re interested. We also host events such as our Meet the Makers to help connect audience to maker.

Now the busy summer season is behind us, we’re thrilled to be offering a full programme of classes and workshops. All led by ourselves and by visiting teachers, crafters, and creators well known in the area, alongside an exciting "Meet The Maker Day" coming this weekend! Many sessions are suitable for beginners, and spaces are limited, so booking is recommended. Full dates and times are listed below, and we truly hope you’ll join us.

More event information below and on our socials. Most workshops include all materials, and a full-day workshop also includes a delicious lunch at The Gathern' Cafe. You can book, ask any questions, and pay your deposit by calling us on 01340 521 132 or by coming into the shop: 79 High Street, Aberlour.

We look forward to having you join us to learn and create. Once again, a big thank you for all the continued support and for being a part of our crafty community.
