| | There’s been a lot going on in the boatyard lately… some things have been a bit heavy, but they’ve also allowed for conversation, encouragement, and opportunities to share hope.
We’d like to introduce you to some of these beautiful people and ask you to pray with us as God continues to give opportunities to shine His light. |

| | Meet J. J. is a young adult who works at the marina. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help. She lost her mother to MS several years ago and moved to the marina to take care of her father, who was diagnosed with MS about six months ago. Sadly, he recently took his own life. It has been a difficult and heartbreaking season for her. Please pray for her and for us as we are given opportunities to love on J. during this time. |

| | Meet M.
M. is about our age and has three daughters around our girls’ ages. Due to custody limitations, she doesn’t get to see them as often as she would like. When we met her, she was newly remarried. Over the last month, she has since filed for divorce and is facing some difficult medical things as well. She has such a positive attitude and we enjoy connecting with her on a daily basis. Please pray for her as she navigates this difficult season. |

Meet A.
A. is one of the friendly yard guys. He enjoys sparking up conversation as he walks by multiple times a day.
Tim was able to talk with him a bit deeper and he shared that he’s getting back into church.
We’re excited for him as he’s buying his first house and closing early October. He told us this is a very big thing in his life and we look forward to celebrating that with him when that day comes.
The other day he asked if he could bring the girls a gift basket. It was intended for a former coworker who left, but he never saw her again, so he didn’t want the gift to go to waste. He blessed the girls with it.
Then, a few days later, the girls were playing with their pickleball paddles on an empty site and he came over to play with them.
This has been a growing friendship and we hope to continue encouraging him in his faith. |

There are many more people we’ve met and enjoyed connecting with.
Relationship building takes time, and we are thankful for the time we’ve had to be here full-time, seeing some of the same faces day in and day out.
They’ve gotten to know us a little better and we’ve had the joy of getting to know them...and their stories along the way. |

| | We came to the boatyard because Doulos needed work, but we know that the boat is not the whole story. People are. Relationships are. And wherever He plants us, that’s where we want to be present and available for Him to use us.
As these friendships grow, so do the opportunities to have conversations about faith and their walk with the Lord.
Our desire isn’t simply to know people... it’s to see them know Jesus, surrender their lives to Him, and experience the peace and hope that come from leaning on Him.
Our mission field is wherever our feet are. Right now, our feet are here. Would you pray with us that God would continue to open doors for deeper conversations, give us opportunities to share Christ, and prepare the hearts of those He has placed around us? |
