We've officially spent our first week in the boat yard, and while there has certainly been plenty of sanding, grinding, and the beginning of many projects, we know this season is about much more than boat work.
In just a few days, God has opened doors for conversations with people around us, giving us opportunities to testify and share about what He's invited us into and the journey that brought us here.
One afternoon, while preparing our dinghy, a woman approached the dock beside us visibly distraught and overwhelmed by circumstances she had just faced. What began with a simple, "Are you okay?" turned into an opportunity to listen, encourage, and pray with her. As we prayed, she lifted her hands in worship and was reminded that the Lord saw her, loved her, and would faithfully guide her steps. Moments like these are a sweet reminder that ministry isn't something waiting for us "someday" after the work is finished.
Our mission field isn't a destination; it's wherever He has placed us. Whether sitting in an anchorage, serving in a marina, or working in a boat yard, there are always opportunities to love people, listen well, and point others to Christ. We enjoy being available and are excited to be used by Him in these ways!
