Looking ahead, but present where we are!
| | While we’re still waiting on a few pieces to fall into place, our hearts are beginning to look toward the horizon.
In the meantime, God has continued to unfold a few sweet moments here in the yard. |

A Little Routine is Always Good! |

| | We’ve been slowly easing back into our homeschool routine, and honestly, a little schedule feels good! |
|
Evelyn and Izabel have been reading like crazy, and we’ve all discovered an amazingly humungous bookstore nearby that has quickly become a favorite. |
|
|

|
| | We’ve been enjoying getting to know the people in the yard a bit more. This week, we had the chance to spend more time with another couple and the girls got to watch their dog while they were away. Izy absolutely loved it! |
|
|

|
| | She has become quite the social butterfly and ray of sunshine around here. She has made friends with the yard guys, our boat neighbor, the ladies in the office, and really anyone willing to hold a conversation with her.
One of the guys recently said, “That little girl is so smart and holds a conversation better than most adults!”
She’s also gotten back into making rubber-band bracelets. She asks everyone their favorite color, and before long they’re walking around the yard wearing a new bracelet. Pink and purple bracelets are now being sported by some of the yard guys! |

| | She’s made a couple of friends closer to her age, too, and the other day she was teaching them how to make bracelets. Now she’s decided to buy more supplies so she can give them a bracelet-making kit of their own.
I love her heart to give and to love people so freely.
She doesn’t have any trouble building relationships, and I’m looking forward to watching how God uses that gift as we continue this journey. |

| | As Doulos gets closer to going back in the water, Tim and I have been spending time praying and processing what this next boating season could look like.
There’s a lot to consider...our sail plan, ministry opportunities, and where God may lead along the way.
At the same time, preparations are underway for the upcoming Hope Fleet season, and we’re praying about how having Doulos will deepen the relationships and strengthen the ways we’re already serving through Hope Fleet. |

| | Tim’s role with Hope Fleet is focused on connecting volunteer boaters with the partners we serve. He helps coordinate vessels and the logistics of getting supplies where they’re needed from scheduling loading and offloading to customs and everything in between. Most importantly, he helps bridge the gap between the boaters carrying the resources and the partners receiving them in-country. |

| | Kim’s role with Hope Fleet is focused on building and maintaining relationships with ministry partners throughout the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. She stays connected, learning about their needs, praying with them, and developing opportunities for volunteer boaters to serve. The goal is to connect people and resources in ways that support and strengthen the Kingdom work these partners are already doing in their communities. |

| | Doulos Changes What’s Possible |

| | So much of this work has happened from a distance. Doulos changes that, opening the door for us to be face-to-face with the people we’ve been building relationships with and serving alongside.
We’ll be able to spend extended time in communities.
To listen.
To learn their needs.
To encourage ministry leaders.
To serve alongside them.
And to invite boaters into that work.
Each of these moments can open doors for conversations about hope, purpose, and Jesus.
Currently, Hope Fleet has partners in Exuma, Abaco, and Grand Bahama. We’re praying that this boating season God will expand our reach to additional out islands and communities as He leads. |

We’re believing for opportunities to love and serve the boating community, encourage our Hope Fleet partners, meet needs in island communities, and make space for conversations about the hope we have in Jesus.
