Meet Gregory Yochum: August Pop-Up Art Gallery Reception |

| | Nebraska artist and educator Gregory Yochum takes over the Pop-Up Gallery this August, and you're invited to meet him in person. Known for dramatic, high-contrast portraits that mash up sacred imagery with pop culture and street-art edge, Yochum (BAE, University of Nebraska at Kearney; MFA, Fort Hays State University) brings a bold, unmistakable style to Lost Way Brewery's walls.
Stop by for light refreshments, a cold drink, and a chance to talk with the artist himself. Can't make the reception? The work stays up all August during regular brewery hours. |

Holdrege native and internationally recognized bronze sculptor George Lundeen is coming home, and this is your chance to spend an evening with him.
Trained at the Academia de Belle Arti in Florence as a Fulbright-Hayes Scholar, Lundeen's narrative bronzes are collected and admired for their warmth and lifelike character.
The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, a presentation from Lundeen himself, and a showcase of his sculpture, plus wine available for purchase. Sponsored in part by the Holdrege High School Class of 1966.

| | Stroll by anytime through mid-September to see them in person — and here's the part to take note of: online bidding is now open, giving you the chance to take a piece home. On Friday, September 18, the murals move indoors to the Iron Horse Art Gallery for a live auction to close it out. Proceeds are split evenly between each artist and the Arts District, supporting the artists' continued creative work and connections while helping fuel the Arts District's mission to bring public art and programming like this to the community. |

Meet Ashley Brock, the latest member featured in our Artist Bureau. A Kearney native and now in her 18th year of teaching, Ashley serves as Holdrege High School's Choral and Instrumental Director, leading everything from Concert Choir and Jazz Band to the school musical. Beyond the classroom, she's a familiar face on stage as a performer and musical director with Crane River Theater in Kearney, and she runs Serenity Studios, offering music lessons for all ages. |

| | History buffs and spooky-season fans, mark your calendars now: Haunted Holdrege: Law & Disorder returns Saturday, October 24, with a guided walking tour through five historic Arts District buildings: the Holdrege Sun Theater and Crescent Room, Phelps County District Courthouse, First State Bank/Iron Horse Art Gallery, Bruce Furniture, and the Iron Horse Station.
This year's theme dives into robberies, crime, and justice in Holdrege history, including the incredible story of the 1989 Holdrege shootout. |
