Searious Money

People often point out that banknotes are made of plastic, and that you'd never throw away money lightly. The same applies to plastic packaging: it costs money so why treat it as disposable? In the run up to World Ocean Day, we'll be sending Searious Money to decision-makers at some of the world's highest plastic-using companies. They can cash it in, and learn how implementing Searious Solutions could help them save real cash by redesigning packaging and systems that currently waste resources and increase risk.

Building Capacity in the Caribbean

In the C4R project, we’re now moving firmly into implementation. In Saint Lucia, we’re setting up the shared recycling hub, purchasing and installing the equipment, tools, and supporting infrastructure needed to operate it as a working facility. In the Dominican Republic, work is progressing in parallel on establishing the washing facilities required to support reusable packaging systems. This is about putting the right technical foundations in place so reuse and recycling can function in practice, not just on paper.

Technical Testing in Refill

For BRAVE’R – Brabant Veegt de Vloer, the team have been rigorously testing the refill and filling machine with a wide range of products. This includes highly corrosive professional cleaning agents, ensuring the system can safely and reliably handle the full spectrum of products used by cleaning professionals. This expert testing phase is key to delivering a robust, future proof reuse system for the trial.

Co-Designing with OEMs

In RePLHA, work continued on the ground in Germany with visits to additional OEMs. These conversations help us understand real operational needs, logistics constraints, and performance requirements for reusable transport packaging for large household appliances. This close engagement ensures the system we’re developing is shaped by those who will ultimately use it — and can scale across brands and markets.

Ocean Impact

This month we joined the International Ocean Film Tour, where powerful films captured inspiring testimonies of ocean love — from families of seven sailing the seven seas to octogenarian divers making lifelong friendships with giant manta rays. Alongside the screenings, we shared how that passion can be turned into action. We brought our Impact Meter to show the different measures for preventing plastic pollution, and how everyone has an impact, but change comes from the top.

Upcoming Events

Plenty of opportunities to see us on stage at events this month. First at PRSE, where we’ll speak about driving demand for recycled plastics — even while policy implementation is still underway. At the AIPIA & AWA Smart Packaging Congress, we’ll dive into how tracking technology in reusable transport packaging systems supports PPWR data compliance at the same time as cutting waste and costs. And at the Reuse Expo in Paris, we will present key findings from Buddie Pack, marking the culmination of a 3.5 year multi stakeholder collaboration.
