| | 2026 Tax Update! Some exciting new tax info for 2026! Non-itemizers can deduct up to $1,000 (single filers) or $2,000 (married filing jointly) in charitable contributions. This is an “above-the-line” deduction, meaning it reduces taxable income directly. Previously, only those who itemized deductions could claim charitable donations, so this change expands tax benefits to the majority of taxpayers who take the standard deduction *****High-income earners can still donate unlimited amounts, but the tax advantage is slightly reduced starting in 2026.
