As we begin a new year at the ADI, I’m reminded of something simple but powerful: movement changes how people feel, connect, and heal.
For many people living with anxiety, depression, or isolation, physical activity can be one of the most accessible ways to support mental well-being. Whether it’s walking with a friend, joining a community program, or rediscovering the joy of being active, movement can open doors that other approaches sometimes cannot.
That belief continues to guide our work. The ADI focuses on supporting community organizations that use physical activity to improve mental health and strengthen connection. Through our grants and educational efforts, we aim to help more communities integrate movement into everyday mental-health support.
This year represents an important step forward as we rebuild momentum and prepare for the next cycle of community grants. Thank you for being part of this mission and for helping expand access to movement-based mental-health solutions.
