How do we keep the momentum going?

Heather Cox Richardson, a national treasure, holds a significant following on her Substack app, where she shares her insights through her “Letters from an American.” With over 2,700,000 followers, she has garnered immense attention. Her self-description succinctly states her interests and beliefs:

“I am a history professor interested n the contrast between image and reality in American politics. I believe in American Democracy despite its frequent failures.”

She offers hope and understanding, empowering us to recognize our collective responsibility. Her message is clear: Our VOICE rises from the grassroots, championing democracy as the promise of America’s future.

Our Neighbors in Need

At our November 17th luncheon, VOICE members are encouraged to bring jars of peanut butter — a small gesture that can make a big difference. With the uncertainty of a possible government shutdown, many families and shut-ins could face delays in receiving food assistance.

Peanut butter is nutritious, shelf-stable, and easy to distribute to those in need. Let’s come together as we always do — with compassion and generosity — to support our community during this challenging time.
