Trimester 1 Ends on November 7

The end of Trimester 1 ushers in cooler weather and the holiday season! Report cards will be available to view on ParentView and StudentView on November 24.

Dear Taylor families,

We’re excited to share that the Taylor PTA has raised $27,000 toward our $50,000 goal — we’re halfway there!

If you haven’t joined yet, there’s still time to make a difference. For every $250 donation made by April 30, you’ll receive a free yearbook as a thank-you for your support.

Your contribution helps make our Taylor community stronger by funding:

  • Classroom supplies & equipment
  • Teacher and staff support
  • PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention & Support) programs
  • Staff appreciation events
  • Technology equipment updates and needs
  • Parent information meetings
  • Student safety supplies
  • Grade-specific enrichment events

Every dollar directly benefits our students, teachers, and school community. Thank you for helping us reach our goal and for your continued support!

    With gratitude,
    Taylor PTA

    SMCOE Science Fair

    Volunteer Judges Needed

We are thrilled to be participating in this year's SMCOE STEM Fair! Judges and Volunteers are truly at the heart of this event; without your support, the Fair could not take place.

The primary role of a judge is to lend your expertise to review the quality of student work while, at the same time, providing students with a positive and supportive STEM Fair experience.

    Judge Qualifications

To ensure a fair and expert review process, all judges must be considered “qualified” in their assigned STEM Fair category. You are considered qualified if one of the following is true:

    • You possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or higher in the category.
    • You have extensive related work experience in the field (5+ years).
    • You are a credentialed teacher.

    Time Commitment & Key Dates

Please review the mandatory commitments before signing up:

    • Orientation: Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM (Virtual).
    • Virtual Judging Day: Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
    • Independent Project Review: You can expect to spend approximately 10–12 hours reviewing assigned projects (approx. 10–15 total) and completing scoring rubrics the week prior to the Fair (between February 25 and March 6, 2026).

More information and the official judge registration form are available on the SMCOE STEM Fair Website.

Please reach out to Mrs. Drutz if you are interested in participating as a judge by Friday, November 7.

    Music Needs Your Help!

    Dear music parents,

Taylor has a wonderful music program thanks to teacher Amanda Negrete, who works endless days coordinating lots of moving parts and teaching the students. Every year she also relies on a dedicated group of parents who volunteer their time and efforts to help her. We are asking all Taylor music parents to help keep this volunteer group going this year.  As the saying goes, "many hands make light work."

The main goals of the music parent volunteer group is to help with fundraising and concerts. The Winter Concert is fast approaching on December 10th at Mills High School. Ms. Amanda would truly appreciate help from volunteers to help set up, sell concessions, and other tasks during the concert. Please e-mail if you're interested in helping out with the concert or other activities during the year. We also hope to find some parent leads to help with organizing volunteer events. If you're interested, let us know!

Please e-mail us using the button below to get connected. Let's work together to provide a great year to our music students. Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Musically,
    Taylor Music parents
