In this Halloween edition of The SnydeReport, host Gary Snyder and Allen County Democratic Chair Chad Wierzbinski pull the mask off one of Indiana’s most glaring political double lives — Fort Wayne City Clerk Lana Keesling, who somehow finds time to moonlight as Indiana Republican Party Chairwoman while still cashing a taxpayer-funded paycheck. Keesling brags about visiting all 92 counties since February, but the citizens of Fort Wayne are left asking: who’s actually minding City Hall while she’s busy playing statewide political boss? A city clerk’s job is to serve her community — not use it as a travel stipend for partisan ladder-climbing. Snyder and Chad go deeper, connecting the dots between Keesling’s conflicts of interest, Fort Wayne’s looming budget cuts, and a state GOP more focused on power than people. With redistricting shenanigans and voter suppression lurking like political ghouls, the duo calls for accountability — and for Keesling to resign immediately. Because when public servants treat their office like a campaign stop, Hoosiers deserve more than tricks — they deserve transparency.

This Is How You Keep ‘Em Down On The Farm… If enough members of Indiana’s GOP legislative supermajority cave to Trump and pass his desired gerrymander –and if that legislation survives a legal challenge (not a given, since it would run afoul of the state constitution)–and if the sheer effrontery of the act doesn’t drive turnout that reduces, rather than adds Republican seats–Indiana will presumably send to Congress the same sort of Republicans who keep trying to turn Indiana into Mississippi. |

The Maps Aren’t Broken — Just the Morals Fort Wayne’s MAGA Senate trio — Liz Brown, Justin Busch, and Tyler Johnson — are racing to endorse a redistricting plan that doesn’t even exist yet. They’re so eager to please the White House that they’ve skipped over basic details like maps, meetings, or public input. |

A Half Century with the Wrong Ideas Economists have developed three competing explanations, or theories, to explain differences in economic growth between regions. Over the past several decades, economic development policy in Indiana has coalesced around one of these theories. Sadly, it is the one theory that has shown the least ability to predict growth, or in other words, the wrong model. |
