My INsnyde Take: Trump Calls, Indiana MAGA Crawls

Indiana MAGA Republicans already own seven out of nine congressional seats, a supermajority in both chambers, every statewide office, and most county courthouses — yet they still think they’re victims of some imaginary liberal plot. Now, with Trump dialing in to twist arms, they’re drooling at the chance to gerrymander what’s left of the map until there’s not a single blue dot left. Sen. Tyler Johnson’s pearl-clutching about “diluted voices” would be laughable if it weren’t so pathetic — the only thing diluted in Indiana is democracy itself. When you’ve had 20 years to run everything and still need to redraw the lines to feel safe, maybe the problem isn’t the map. Maybe it’s you.

Let’s be honest: Indiana MAGA Republicans have created this shitty hellscape we’re all living in. Crumbling infrastructure, underpaid teachers, overpriced utilities, and a healthcare system that makes a root canal look affordable — all while they congratulate themselves for “fiscal responsibility” and “traditional values.” They’ve built an oligarchy masquerading as a government, and now they’re shocked that Hoosiers are starting to notice the rot. So here comes Trump, barking down the phone lines from Mar-a-Lago, telling them to squeeze the last drops of fairness out of our democracy. Because when you’ve already rigged everything else, what’s one more map among friends?

Uh-Huh

Well, looks like John Mellencamp’s Small Town heart is still beating strong for Indiana — this time putting his Authority Song money behind Beau Bayh. Maybe Mellencamp figured it’s time for a little Peaceful World and less Crumblin’ Down politics. After all, Hoosiers are Jack & Diane tired of the same old Pink Houses crowd pretending to be Rain on the Scarecrow patriots.
