Inspiring Healthcare Innovation

Printed Circuit Boards (“PCB”s) are ushering in a new era in healthcare, driving breakthroughs in both traditional and emerging medical devices. From AI-powered diagnostic platforms and remote patient monitoring systems to next-generation wearables, PCBs are critical in the latest innovations. According to the latest market analysis, the global medical PCB sector is expected to reach $3.2 billion by 2026, with a robust CAGR of 7.8% since 2023—underscoring the growing demand for reliable, high-performance medical electronics.

As medical devices become more sophisticated, PCB design and manufacturing standards have risen sharply. Today’s medical-grade PCBs feature high-density interconnects, flexible and rigid-flex designs, and biocompatible materials to meet the needs of compact and wearable technologies. Compliance with certifications such as ISO 13485 is now essential, reflecting the sector’s commitment to safety, reliability, and full lifecycle traceability for all PCB components.

At TTM, our specialized factories position us to support our customers by addressing a broad spectrum of medical industry requirements with PCB products, substrates, specialty components, value-add assemblies, and other highly engineered custom solutions. TTM is committed to advancing medical technology and supporting the community. End Market News

PCB & SEMICONDUCTOR

DIGITIMES | July 25, 2025

As global carmakers transition from gas vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs), Taiwanese automotive PCB suppliers report that end-user demand has entered a cooling-off period. Forecasts for 2025 from carmakers in Europe, the US, and Japan remain conservative, while Chinese automakers are locked in intensified price wars. The industry expects it will take another 2-3 years before global car market demand recovers.

IPC | July 28, 2025

Total North American PCB shipments in June 2025were down 8.6 percent compared to the same month last year. Compared to the preceding month, June shipments were down 19.2 percent.

DIGITIMES | July 29, 2025

China's PCB upstream and downstream supply chain has seen massive expansion supported by government policies in recent years. However, the subsequent industry downturn has led to overcapacity, forcing manufacturers to cut prices to win orders, thus triggering a wave of intense internal competition.

AUTOMOTIVES

DIGITIMES | July 15, 2025

The global automotive supply chain is under growing strain amid a turbulent macroeconomic environment. As pressure mounts, Chinese automakers are passing rising costs onto suppliers, prompting government intervention.

INDUSTRIAL & INSTRUMENTATION

DIGITIMES | July 22, 2025

Competition in bonding equipment for the high bandwidth memory (HBM) market is intensifying, especially for the new generation of hybrid bonding (HB) technology.

DIGITIMES | August 6, 2025

Leading chip tool makers posted strong second-quarter 2025 earnings, reflecting solid demand across the semiconductor supply chain, fueled by growth in AI, high-bandwidth memory (HBM), and advanced packaging. But rising geopolitical risks, cyclical volatility, and heavy exposure to China have clouded the outlook for the second half of 2025 and into 2026, raising concerns of a potential slowdown or pause in industry momentum.

DATA CENTER & COMPUTING

Synergy | July 24, 2025

European cloud providers’ market share dropped from 29% in 2017 to 15% in 2022, though it has stayed relatively constant at around 15% since then.

Trend Force | July 16, 2025

The U.S. government lifted restrictions on AI chip exports to China, and China’s procurement ratio for foreign AI chips is expected to rise to 49%, up from previously projected 42%.
