Strawberry Fayre

Saturday 28th June from 10.00am - St Mary's Churchyard

Join us for a wonderful celebration of the strawberry season! We will be selling strawberries and other local produce, homemade preserves, bacon and asparagus baps, cream teas, fizz, and crafts for the children. All proceeds to Walford Church.

Concert: Counter's Creek

Saturday 28th June, 7.30pm - The  Venue, Hill Street

Counter's Creek is an acoustic folk band based in London who make original music inspired by the folk music of the British Isles and beyond. Jigs, reels, grooves from Eastern Europe & West Africa, catchy melodies with closely interwoven harmonies allied to a real sense of swing and dance energy.

Photography Exhibition - Weird and Wonderful

You may have seen some of Sandra's and Steve's imaginative photography on social media, much of it inspired by and featuring church buildings. They've been experimenting for a while with multiple exposure techniques. Here's your chance to come and see some of it close-up and in person.



Don't miss Steve and Sandra's talk on their techniques on Wednesday 30th July at 1.00pm. This is also a FREE event.



St Mary's is open every day from 9.00am - 5.00pm. The exhibition is free of charge.

Our world is rapidly becoming managed by AI with chatbots already with us and humanoid robots shortly to be a part of our lives. Can we control the world we are creating and manage the revolution we are creating? Just maybe the dystopian Hollywood movies were right after all.

Heritage Walk - Thomas Blake

Wednesday 23rd July, 10.30am - meet at Ross Market House

Thomas Blake is often described as a the "pius benefactor" - he built the Baptist Church among many  buildings and was a great champion of those not so well off. Mark Eardley is chair of Ross Civic Society and has spent some time researching the subject, the walk will visit the many sites around Ross that have a connection to Blake. This is the 200th Anniversary of Blake's birth. No need to book, just meet at the Market House at 10.30am.
