With GFN25 less than a week away, it’s time to get ready for this year’s star sessions and expert-led panels, and most importantly, figure out which sessions to attend! GFN25 is shaping up to be one of the best yet and we are thrilled that so many of you are joining us in Warsaw next week. If you're joining us in-person you will get a separate email next week with more information about the conference in Warsaw!

However, if you can’t attend in person, you can absolutely still join in :-). Many of our sessions will be available online for free - just make sure you’re registered and you can join our online streaming platform. Not only will you be able to watch the streamed sessions, you can also join the online chat and pose questions to the speakers, as explained below👇

Streaming live sessions

Once you’ve registered for free for GFN25 online, simply go to the GFN homepage and click the “Log in” button that appears in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Once you’ve logged in using your username and password, you can head back to the GFN homepage where you’ll see the GFN live stream! Or you can follow this link directly to our live stream platform.

We highly recommend having your GFN login details ready before the conference begins, so that you can jump straight into the first sessions without missing a single second. The conference programme shows the sessions in Warsaw time (CEST) so don't forget to find out when these sessions will be happening in your timezone!



And if you’ve been to GFN before, you can use your old username and password to stream the online sessions - no need to register again.

Which sessions will be streamed for our online audience?

On Thursday 19 June, the conference will begin with the first Keynote of #GFN25 given by Mark Tyndall, which will be followed by the panel discussion “Reflections on the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control at 20” and a Spanish language session “Challenging Perceptions - Effective Communication for Tobacco Harm Reduction” (find out more about our simultaneous translation below). We then move on to panel discussion, “Nicotine pouches - what's the real story?”, finishing off the day with the Michael Russell Oration, given by Arielle Selya, and the Michael Russell award.

Friday 20 June starts off with Jacob Grier’s keynote, followed by a workshop looking at the hotly debated subject of flavours. The afternoon features two panel discussions: “Innovation and regulation - shaping the landscape for safer nicotine products”, and “Evaluating WHO tobacco harm reduction science”. And in the midst of all this there’ll also be the launch of Mark Tyndall’s latest book, and the Film Festival awards ceremony, making for a jam-packed day for all of you streaming online!

On the final day of the conference, Saturday 21 June, you can look forward to the final keynote which will be given by Maria Papaioannoy, a panel session exploring how we can help strengthen ties with other harm reduction movements, and panel discussion “Media, misinformation and public health”.

Live translations

If you’re tuning in to our Spanish language session online, you can toggle between the Spanish-language debate and simultaneous English translation once you are logged into the streaming platform. The other streamed sessions will also be translated into Russian and Spanish!
