Sorry for the late follow-up, but I have not been feeling well, lately. I live with functional gastro-intestinal disorders, and my digestive system has been extremely upset. I experience IBS and GERD to some degree every day. Sometimes, I can experience a very bad cycle that can span several days or weeks, like now. Because I was homeless for about 17 months, I think my symptoms progressed perhaps as a result of the trauma. As a result, I've been caring for myself. I deliberately made time to provide an update of where my campaign stands.
The joint Downtown Independent Democrats/Village Independent Democrats candidate forum was unreal. My candidate questionnaire appeared manipulated. The question numbering was off, and one question I know I answered was not included. The answer to another question purported to show that I supported school segregation, which is obviously false. In other words, Democrats are going to Democrat.
During that forum, I questioned Brad Hoylman-Sigal about his role in the closure, demolition, and luxury townhouse and condo conversion of the former St. Vincent's Hospital campus. Predictably, he denied voting for the rezoning, despite being the Community Board 2 chair during the ULURP process—at the same time when the billionaire-oligarch William Rudin was a director of the Brad's employer at that time then, the Partnership For New York City. At no time did Brad recuse himself from the ULURP, despite the apparent conflict of interest. I also questioned Alvin Bragg about whether his office could bring at least some State criminal charges against Mayor Eric Adams (D-New York City) to block the expected Trump pardon. He danced around the question. You'll have to ask DID/VID to release the Zoom video, so you can watch for yourself what happened. Ultimately, one political club endorsed the incumbent, and the other reportedly voted not to endorse, which I take as a small form of a win.
