Hello {$firstname},

With Alberta weather being what it is, flipping between beautiful and cold, it's easy to forget that our AGM is only two weeks away on March 19, 2025 at 7pm. If you forgot then put on your sunglasses (or parka) and read on to reserve a ticket for the AGM, become a voting member, or sign up to volunteer in other ways.

Our last newsletter was so full of events that it felt a little overwhelming, so this time you'll find a laser-like focus on the upcoming GOBFest and a Catan Qualifier happening this weekend.

Our amazing champions, organizers, and volunteers are working hard to bring you an amazing FallCon 38. Stay tuned to our website, socials, and this newsletter for upcoming additional information.

Watch for early bird badges to go on sale in spring.

In addition to our regular meetups, we'd like to highlight upcoming gaming events happening in your areas - specifically, conventions in Western Canada and gaming events in the Calgary area. Let us know if you think there is a worthy event we could showcase in the coming months.

2025 Catan National Qualifier

When: **This SUNDAY**, Mar 9, 2025 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM MDT

Where: Dickens - Lower 1000 9 Ave SW Calgary, AB T2P 2Y6

Cost: ~$36 via EventBrite

2 Grain for Sheep!? 3 Grain for Sheep!? I need Sheep!!

If you think you have what it takes to be a Catan Champion and you're a builder, a trader, or even a scallywag, then this may be the event for you. It's happening this Sunday and ticket sales end soon, so use the buttons below if you want to know more.

The Qualifier Winner will win a guaranteed seat at the 2025 CATAN Canada National Championship Tournament, date and location TBD. The 2025 CATAN Canada National Champion will be sent to the 2027 CATAN World Championship, location and dates TBD.

GOBfest 2025

When: March 28 - 30, 2025

Where: Alberta Ave Community Centre - 9210 118 Ave NW, Edmonton

If you are in the Edmonton area or you can travel there, then this family friendly weekend of gaming is a must. As of the sending of this email, they already have over 100 events scheduled at almost 300 hours of combined gaming. That's a whole lot of fun packed into one weekend.
