CMD Day February

Our first CMD Day of 2025 will be held on Tuesday 11 February at St James-the-Less, Leith. Coffee will be on from 10am and we will be finished by 3:30pm. We are going to be joined by Prof Garrick Allen, Professor of Divinity at Glasgow University. He is a New Testament scholar who is currently working on 'paratexts', i.e. all those bits in our Bibles that are not the actual text (chapter & verse numbers, headings, footnotes, images, etc) and it is this he will be exploring with us. Our dates for May and autumn have still to be pinned down, but we have our two speakers. In May, we will be joined by Dr Rob Waller, an Edinburgh-based psychiatrist and Director of the Mind and Soul Foundation, and in the autumn by the Revd Dr A K M Adam (ka 'AKMA'), who splits his time between teaching NT and Greek in Oxford and as team priest in the Parish of Abington-on-Thames.
