The three Composers behind the Final Opera Production

Project Butterfly's innovative Opera benefits greatly from its collaboration with three composers: Marco Attura, Beniamin Baczewski, and Paavo Korpijaakko. Each one has brought their essence as an artist, blending into the final production, which is drawing closer and closer. The artists have now finalized and presented the music, marking the final step in the project's creative journey.

Marco described the music as a perfect fit from the beginning. However, the journey was one of evolution. "Over time, it evolved and grew, adding new layers to match the story’s journey," he shared. Despite the challenges of blending styles with two other composers, Marco embraced the process, saying, "It was great to blend different styles and ideas into one cohesive sound."

As the music evolved throughout the process, Beniamin says it became even more "creative, impressive, and amazing". known for his fresh ideas and unique style, the composer describes the experience as "great and wonderful" from the start. "From the start, it was great and wonderful," he remarked.

For Paavo, making the music both approachable and deeply emotional was key. "Working with two composers from different backgrounds was challenging," he admitted, but the outcome was worth it. Hearing the final music, Paavo felt its profound potential to connect with audiences. "I knew it had potential to connect deeply with the audience," he reflected.

The three composers have worked together to create a unique sound that captures the spirit of collaboration and creativity behind Project Butterfly.

Stay tuned as Project Butterfly advances toward its next milestone on the journey to reimagining sustainable opera for audiences everywhere!
