You don’t want to miss this chance to present YOUR science at #GFN25 in Warsaw!

We know you’ve been working on some fantastic research projects since the last Global Forum on Nicotine, so you won’t want to miss this chance to present your science in person at #GFN25 in Warsaw! Introduced with great success last year, GFN Science Lab is back to help you share your research exploring tobacco harm reduction and safer nicotine products with the GFN community.

Science Lab builds on the success of our popular GFN Fives, where since 2021 we have curated and showcased your THR updates, news and insights in the form of your 5 minute videos. This year all scientific #GFNFive submissions will be considered for the GFN Science Lab sessions, which take place within the conference programme at the in person event in Warsaw. If your video is selected you will be invited to present a 15 minute session (including the 5 minute screening of your #GFNFive) to share and discuss your research with the GFN audience in Warsaw. To see how Science Lab sessions work, please visit this playlist featuring the multitude of excellent presentations from last year’s sessions. Submit your 5 minute scientific video at this link, the closing date for submissions is 14 May 2025.

If you are chosen to participate in the GFN Science Lab, you will need to ensure you book your ticket for #GFN25 in Warsaw. If you can’t make it to Warsaw your #GFNFive may still be published and promoted on the GFN Website and social media platforms, along with all other accepted #GFNFives submissions.

Submit your GFN Science Lab films here!

Need some inspiration? Take a look at some of our favourite Science Lab submissions from GFN24:

    • Anna Masser explored the important difference between nicotine content and nicotine uptake in safer nicotine products such as nicotine pouches in her GFN Science Lab presentation. With the news that the FDA has recently approved the marketing of several Zyn nicotine pouch products in the US, this topic is highly pertinent and will be explored further in the #GFN25 programme.

    • Roberto Sussman set out the evidence underpinning our fundamental understanding of vape aerosol chemistry, and the context this gives us about the safety of e-cigarette emissions and the impact that perceptions of e-cigarette emissions have on the public debate about safer nicotine products in his Science Lab discussion.

    • In this #ScienceLab session Konstantinos Farsalinos looked at the complicated role flavours play in helping smokers quit using safer nicotine products, in a cross-sectional study of former smokers.
