| Lithuania Burners Meeting |
Our community is a place where we inspire ourselves and each other. Where we dream and make these dreams come true, where friendships are made, where we inspire one another and ourselves, where our souls burn, flourish and grow. This is an invitation for the community of Burning Souls to meet, connect and discuss tomorrow, Tuesday: Will we come up with new ideas? Will we put the already initiated visions into motion? What do we want to do in 2025? |

This art grant has found its perfect place in Amber Burn 2024. Following the map might have led you to some sort of consequences, but you might have been misled if the goal was to find this specific installation called The Consequences. This magical and mysterious installation was only known by the whispers of the community. |

Tranquil and reserved, The Consequences seemed to be hiding among the stones, deeper in the woods, unexpectedly set up in the camping zone. Those who listened carefully to the whispers, 'Over there, over there, have you seen it?', to the sound of the woods and the fire spitting, questioning, what was this quiet music inviting to explore? Should I go there? The bravest followed the flow and the inner calling to find The Consequences. |
The Consequences spoke to us so many things. The planet Earth, which was assembled from iron parts. It symbolized the continuity of all of us and the continuation of the processes of the earth, constantly rotating. Continuously releasing an all-encompassing fire from its center, it reminded us of the vitality of its inner core. The vitality that is the inner fire that sustains everything that is alive and has been created so far.

The most important thing in creating the Consequences artwork was time, the project lead Romanas Kiela commented, in the scene where the viewer spends it together with the artwork. The time when, standing in the middle of the ruins, you can witness the existence of the earth. In between what is alive and temporal. The viewer was involved through the presence of the time spent with the sculpture and the questions asked: Look around. Inhale. Exhale. Does the earth speak to you? If so, what is it telling you? As if the voice of the Earth was speaking and asking to give attention to it. For a moment, participants were asked to turn to what is truly most important. And that is our mother Earth.
There was a special box to throw written conversations, wishes and thoughts about the Earth. The wishes were sent to the great burning—with the intention that everything would be heard. Every wish, piece of paper, and promise to the Earth falling into the box ignited huge flames on the planet Earth, thus reminding us all that we each contribute to and are responsible for our Mother Earth. The question was and remains, How do you choose to treat your planet today? We are grateful for The Consequences team for having this artwork built and brought to Amber Burn, for providing our community with the whole set-up and, most importantly, time to reflect about out beloved mother Earth.

Temple is a space for communal healing in Burning Man with its own traditions. It means different things to different people; for some, it is the soul of Burning Man. It usually burns on Sunday in sacred silence. This year's design is exciting. It is inspired by the ancient volcanic rocks. The dome's deep cracks reflect mankind's dualities: strength and weakness, chaos and harmony, connection and solitude, etc. Miguel, the lead artist, invites us to gather under the symbolic rock, honor our own journey, and find peace in its imperfection. |
