Tuesday, 3 September 2024, 15:30-17:00 CEST The SEFI General Assembly, exclusive to SEFI members, is the highest statutory body of SEFI organisation. It serves as the primary platform for reviewing the past year's activities, discussing future plans, and managing financial affairs. During this assembly, members also vote on the budget and elect new board members, including the Vice President.
While the official registration period has closed, late registrations are still being accepted until Tuesday, 27 August. Make sure to add this event to your conference agenda. |

| Meet the SEFI Special Interest Groups |

|
| The SEFI Special Interest Groups (SIGs) bring together educators, students, and industry professionals who share common interests in specific areas of engineering education. Their activities include organizing meetings, workshops, seminars, SEFI@work webinars, podcasts, and contributing to position papers and EU projects.
On Monday, 2 September, in the afternoon, you'll have the chance to explore the SEFI SIGs and participate in their workshops and meetings. If you're interested in joining any of the SIGs, you can express your interest by completing the survey, which is open until 29 August. |

| At the upcoming SEFI Annual Conference in Lausanne, SEFI will launch a new code of conduct for participation in its events. This code was developed by a special committee composed of experts in diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethics. It aims to foster a more welcoming and inclusive environment at all SEFI events. | The 2nd SEFI Summer School for PhD candidates took place 28-31 May 2024, in Windsor. UCL was the organiser of the event, with an internal team comprising John Mitchell, Helen Bhandari, Diana Adela Martin, Nat Wint, Shannon Chance, Ines Direito and David Guile, complemented by guests Greet Langie, Diana Bairaktarova, and Jan Peters. 27 doctoral candidates joined us from different parts of the world, including The UK, Finland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Philippines, South Africa, and the United States.

| Powering the Use of AI to Scale Teaching and Learning 18 September, 9:00-10:00 AM ET - 15:00-16:00 CET. The International Federation of Engineering Education Association (IFEES), in collaboration with its member organization, the International Association for Continuing Engineering Education (IACEE), presents an experiential learner experience workshop on , where practical examples of AI tool usage will be demonstrated. Learn the tools of the trade, which will include syllabi, quiz generators, tutoring, and student success coaching that will help scale learning and allow educators to focus on higher-order thinking. There will also be a panel discussion on AI tool evolution and the latest news trends shaping AI's educational future.

| The EU has opened a funding call to support 50 more Ukrainian researchers, using a previously announced €10 million funding top-up. Opened on 5 August, the call from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions for Ukraine scheme will accept submissions via an online portal until 5 September.
