Episode 4 / Summer 2024

Image description

It's mid-summer, and for many, this is a time to rest and recharge from the ongoing intensity of product development and design activity. It's also a great opportunity to plan new product releases and positioning for when everyone returns. We're excited to present new groundbreaking products from the Radio Frequency and Specialty Components Business Unit at TTM, covering end markets and segments from Telecom to commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) military and aerospace (Mil-Aero).

In this episode, we're featuring five new product families, including a family of Ultra-broadband baluns targeting the data converter market, commercial variants of the highly popular X-Band couplers and directionals (previously released), our new S-Band hybrid couplers and directional couplers in class-leading package sizes (14mm x 5mm) delivering 175 Watt AVG powers and peak to average of 12dB, and a new RF-RF crossover in a tiny 0603 package covering DC-18GHz, offering a new capability of a surface-mount signal router for reduced complexity in RF – mmWave layouts and reduced layer counts to increase density. All these new products will be available on our RF and Specialty Components New Products page on ttm.com for data sheets and sample requests.

Moreover, if you’ll be at European Microwave this September, you can check out our new products on display. If you’d like to schedule a meeting, contact me using the link below.

As we move forward, we wish everyone a summer filled with relaxation, rejuvenation, and excitement about the future.

180 MHz to 1900 MHz Ultra Wide Band 1210 Balun 50Ω to 100Ω Balanced

Image description

Applications:

Test and Measurement

Telecom

• COTS Mil-Aero

The XMB0220K1-50100G is an ultra-small (1210), low profile, broadband balanced to unbalanced transformer in an easy-to-use Xinger-style manufacturing-friendly surface mount package. The XMB0220K1-50100G has an unbalanced port impedance of 50Ω and a 100Ω balanced port impedance, with class leading CMRR. Which is ideal for Converter applications in the following markets: Test and Measurement, Telecom and COTS Mil-Aero. This transformer enables single ended signals to be applied to differential ports on RFSOC’s, ADC’s, DAC’s and integrated RF chipsets. The output ports have equal amplitude (-3dB) with 180 degree phase differential.

All of the Xinger components are constructed from ceramic filled PTFE composites, which possess excellent electrical and mechanical stability. All parts have been subjected to rigorous Xinger qualification testing and units are 100% RF tested. Produced in an ENIG final finish.
