A programme to address climate change and its pervasive impacts on the environment, economy, and communities in Cameroon dubbed the Cameroon Climate Justice Movement (CCJM) has been created. Kids in Buea Raise Voices for Climate Justice

After gaining understanding about climate change and climate justice following a climate justice programme, which Voice of Nature (VoNat) is carrying out with the support of Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) and Mcginnity Family Foundation, kids and young adults in Buea have refused to be passive victims of the crisis. Kids Plant Trees to Fight Climate Change, Impacts in Buea

The adverse effect of climate change in the form of increase temperature, heat waves, rashes and disasters like floods, landslides etc. are felt today than ever before, with children and youth bearing the greatest brunt. After over 6 months of experiential learning sessions about climate change and its impacts on water sources, agricultural production, human health etc., over 70 children in Buea on May 3, 2024, engaged in a tree planting campaign to fight against climate change and its deleterious effects.
