Temple Starbud in Amber Burn 2022 |
It was 4 years ago when Dizids participated in the inviting playground of Amber Burn for the first time. Thanks to Amber Burn, he realized he could build things and create experiences.
In 2021, he got this strong impulse to process the grief through the building because one of his good friends died. That is how the Infinite Guitar was born. The idea of the temple was born in the same year; on Sunday morning. It was obvious that the community needed a temple; there was no temple before in AB. So, the Infinite Guitar was a precursor to the Starbud Temple. |

Temple as a place where we can express anything we need at the moment, whatever emotion there is. Didzis expressed it as a strong feeling. This is the best way that we can process grief, or things no one can understand or put in words, and it works; it helps. This special feeling and magic occur when there is not one person together in the process. When we are seen and supported by others, it gives us courage and hope. 'The Temple was named Starbud and it means a flower that does not exist yet. There is a bud that is about to open. In the co-creation process, the team thought maybe the flower could be in the movement, open and close, to become alive. A closed flower also means closure. Finding closure with ourselves is not an easy task. Anyway, each person creates their own meaning,' shared Didzis.

Moments from the Temple build 2022 |
We are grateful to the people who supported the process of temple co-creation; otherwise, it would not have been possible. The affluence of ideas, structure, and most of implementation was by Uldis Krautmanis, the lead architect. Credit goes to all builders, including lead builder Ansis Bergmanis, light designers Dāvis Krūmiņš and Arturs Krūmiņš, tremendous help received from Latvian burners, Henrijs Šešo, Dainis Tamulevičs, Alise Šaburova, Linda Bodniece, and Linda Šešo. Many people were involved prior to the event, and knew about the Temple before coming to the gathering. Didzis is so grateful that people were supporting and donating. All the support received was the biggest gift. The team planned everything all winter. During April and May, they started to put things together and tried to build as much of Starbud as possible before it arrived at the location, so the basic structure was assembled in Latvia. The Build week is not enough time, but Didzis added that 'No one can fail in Amber Burn. There is always help and solutions.'

Radical self-expression by doing, like executing without thinking, is just the tip of the iceberg; it is a journey, but so are the intangibles, like as commitment and collaboration. The trailer broke on the way to Lithuania, but it was not the biggest challenge. Didzis shared what was the biggest challenge for him, and it was 'to be exposed, being seen by other burners through the expression.'

The Temple at the start of Amber Burn 2022 was empty. then little by little, filled with writings, things that people left, charged with energy.
When it started to burn, it seemed like it did not want to be burned, and it seemed like it was not easy to let go. The community had to help it burn, which was transformational. Anyway, the Temple was there a long time before, and it stays a long time after. Amber Burn holds a lot of good vibes and intense experiences. But sometimes we are longing for a place where we could sit still and be together with other people in a more peaceful and quiet environment, not only in joyful and high moments but also in pain, contemplation or intentions, new beginnings, and manifestations.

Temple of the Frequency in Amber Burn 2024 |
'A temple for me is the most sacred space on earth, when it exists somewhere in the world. For that fracture of the moment, it is there for service and then just disappears forever,' Gintarė Bialo, leading Temple in the Lithuania Burners community gathering Amber Burn this summer, shared. It is a gift, a haven, and a work of beauty. It is just there, for a split second, from people to people, and has nothing to do with religion. The structure will resemble a spiraling seashell, with the stairs going up narrower and narrower. When a person approaches the temple, he/she/they can choose to go from the inside or from the outside.
'The idea of a temple is most likely always around; one just has to grab it and channel it through oneself. In a sense, she (the Temple) creates herself through me or through any participant that connects with her,' shared Gintarė. Why is it called The Temple of the Frequency? 'When I made a small miniature of the Temple, I could feel the sound inside her and instantly thought of what tune it could be. The idea of healing frequencies vibrating through the Temple resonated instantly. So it seemed important to develop this concept more and put it into the whole experience of the Temple of the Frequency,' answered Gintarė. So, everything will revolve around vibrations and frequencies.

Dreaming of The Temple of the Frequency |
Temple, with its healing energies, will embrace all those seeking reflection, resolution, release, and renewal; it will help us reconnect with our hearts. It will be open to all visitors during Amber Burn 2024 ready to receive dreams and wishes, as well as pain and all fears. Everybody will be able to bring gifts and relics to peacefully place in Temple to let go in flames. The Temple of the Frequency will be closing Sunday evening to prepare for the burn and it will be burning at 11:59 P.M. All are invited to stay and see this magic.
