Hi everyone - a brief one today.

A New Title, A New Format & Our First Competition - With A £250 Prize!

THE MILL HOUSE MURDER

Firstly - we're gradually nibbling away at J.S. Fletcher's giant list and number 24 in our series is The Mill House Murder (Todmanhawe Grange in the UK), our seventh of his and the last before his death. The novel was finished by Edward Powys Mathers, aka Torquemada.

It's a sure-footed narrative, creating a fascinating tale - but one with a very different style of ending. From the start, Fletcher's love of Yorkshire is evident; his warm and vivid portrayal of the area and its people deftly pulls you into the unfolding situation. The main characters are similarly compelling and carry us easily into the world of the time - and the story of our crime. It is a cold environment but colourful, and it's very easy to thoroughly enjoy what some would say is one of his best mysteries. This is a murderous occasion well worth attending!

Next - we're in the process of bringing out Large Print versions of the whole series and The Mill House Murder is the third finished (frustrating glitches accounting for the delay in announcing the book's release), joining Fletcher's Yorkshire Moorland Mystery and The Doctor of Pimlico by William Le Queux. (To think that the latter was one of the first of our GA reissues way back in 2013 - astonishing!)

£250+ PRIZE COMPETITION TIME

And finally: we've now launched our first annual series giveaway and I'd like to invite you to take part with an Early Entry offer before we go wide on Saturday. Whilst it's basically a simple drive to grow our mailing list, we wanted to give you, our current subscribers, a (better) chance to win this brilliant prize. The important thing to note is that whilst you can only enter once, all entries up to and including Friday will be doubled to give you two chances in the draw. All you have to do is sign up on this page.

And the prize? A copy of every title in the series published before 1st December when the competition closes. See the full series here - 24 books so far and likely to be 26+ meaning the prize will be worth more than £250! Full details and entry form here.

A number of you have already entered and I hope a lot more of you do - after all, you've been in from the start and we'd love you to win! With the bonus entry that's a little bit more likely!

Please note - submitting the form will NOT put you on the newsletter twice. Don't worry, you will not get double helpings of me. Sadly.

Anyway, enter before Saturday to secure your double chance to win this great prize. And if you'd like to help spread the word by passing this on or sharing any posts you see on Facebook and similar, we'd really appreciate it. Here's the link again.

So - I hope you enjoy The Mill House Murder - and find the Large Print books a useful addition. Oh, and of course - best of luck! Hopefully a big box of books could be heading your way in December!

All the best,

Jon and Richard

P.S. I'll announce the winner on the 2nd of December and send the books out immediately. (If you celebrate Christmas this could be your gift list done! lol)
