| Primary Care Clinicians PhD programme The Primary Care Clinicians PhD programme has up to 5 PhD studentships per year available for clinicians of all disciplines working in UK primary care, for example: practice nurses; health visitors; dentists, pharmacists; optometrists working in primary care and general practitioners. | One of England's most influential nurse researchers |
|
Congratulations to Andrew Finney who has been named as one of the 75 most influential nurse researchers in England. Selected by the Chief Nursing Officer’s Team, as part of the celebrations surrounding the 75th anniversary of the NHS, Andrew works as Deputy Director of Research and Research Theme Lead in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Keele University. He shares his time with a role in the Medical School as a senior member of the Impact Accelerator Unit for health research and also works with the Chief Nursing Officer's research team through NHS England to strategically support clinical academic careers for nurses. |

|
High blood pressure increases the risk of diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Medicines that reduce blood pressure (antihypertensives) protect against these diseases. The RSS provides free and confidential support, advice and expertise for all researchers in England working across the remit of the NIHR. The NIHR RSS replaces the Research Design Service and support funding for Clinical Trials Units. |

University of Bristol study collaboration My Knee Plan is a research study which aims to build a care plan to support patients having total knee replacement. We would like the views of General Practitioners on how the care plan could work. Taking part would involve an interview with a researcher, which will take about an hour.
