In this other article, we present the excellent work being done by Brussels' Opera La Monnaie, which is taking steps in making opera more sustainable. Their approach involves the reduction of CO2 emissions, the promotion of eco-friendly transportation, and the adoption of sustainable materials for stage sets. Additionally, they have improved energy efficiency, leading to a 28% reduction in gas and a 10% reduction in electricity consumption. Waste reduction, responsible purchasing practices, and staff training complete their strategy. La Monnaie's commitment to sustainability is not only setting an example but also in sync with the European Union's 2030 environmental targets, making it one of the leaders in the opera world.

Project Butterly's Collaborative Momentum |
|
In order to foster innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity in the world of opera, Project Butterfly is actively engaging in a series of crucial meetings with its partners. These sessions are dedicated to enhancing collaboration and ensuring coordination among our diverse partners across Europe. During these gatherings, we delve deeply into our work, setting clear objectives. Our primary focus is on harmonizing the creative energies of our three opera partners: Teatro Comunale di Modena, Opera Bałtycka, and Opera Box, while fostering a sense of unity among our international network, which includes Heimspiel and AESS. We eagerly anticipate sharing further information about our collaborative journey in the near future. 🎵🤝🌍 |
