Hoop Shoot

From Mike Stewart, PSP and GL Hoop shoot Committee Chairman.

The 2023 Hoop Shoot National Finals are over! From serving veterans at Hoop Shoot Assists to the Friday night FunFest at Soldier Field to the moment the Finalists stepped up to the line at Wintrust Arena, this National Finals is certainly one for the books. Even though the Finalists, families and fans are headed home, the memories don't have to stay in Chicago. Take a minute away from the free throw line to catch the highlights from the 2023 contest!

Veterans

The Elks vow, “So long as there are Veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.”

Image description

Some words to remember.....

"Duty, Honor, Country: Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be.

They are your rallying points: to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn."

HAMDEN ELKS LODGE #2224 DONATES TO NEWINGTON VA

Hamden Elks #2224 donates to

support the Newington, CT VA medical center.

Hamden Elks Lodge 2224 serving Hamden and North Haven, recently presented a $1000 donation to the Newington VA Facility.

Members of the Elks pledge "So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them."

Each year, Elks volunteers give generously of their time, energy, and resources to serve veterans and military members, ensuring that this pledge is not an idle one. This donation was made possible through the proceeds of several fundraising activities held at the Hamden Lodge during the past few months and by the generous donations of our members. The Elks are dedicated to charitable and patriotic programs in our community. For membership information, contact Andy Caporossi at 203-248-2224.
