What a busy few weeks! We had our Community Dinner celebrating Peru, newcomers came together for Conversation Circles, and children came for art classes!

Thank you to all those who supported the 18th Annual Fundraiser Gala - either as an attendee, silent auction bidder, raffle ticket buyer. With your support, we raised almost $70,000 for the programs and services at Burnaby Neighbourhood House.

Practical Breathing Exercise for Longevity

Wednesdays, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM
at The Amazing Brentwood



Join Master Hung to learn simple deep breathing technique that rejuvenates the body. Combined with controlling the breath, you will learn gentle, relaxing, chair-based upper body exercises to improve blood circulation, manage stress, neck pain, upper shoulders and the lower back pain. The program is perfect for all ages, even those with mobility issues.



**Cantonese with English Translation**

A start date of the program will be confirmed sometime in April 2023.

English Conversation Classes

Our EAL classes are for people who would like to learn/improve their English skills. These classes are a fun way to practice conversation, make new friends, and try learning! These volunteer-led EAL classes are available throughout the year for beginner to intermediate level students.



In-person class registration: please call 604-294-5444 or email [email protected]. The classes are not for drop-in. It is required each participant to join weekly so that instructors can support and bring the speaking skill into a next level.

Qi Gong is a personal practice that led to fitness, flexibility, and internal peace that combines the physical benefits of exercise with the spiritual qualities of meditation, leading to full nourishment of both mind and body.

There are many different types of Qi Gong practices, but most of them involve slow-moving exercises that reflect the qualities of nature.
