Ean Caskey

RWE masters runner Ean Caskey has had an incredible last two months, setting three new Iowa masters records...



On Saturday, September 17 he lowered his own masters 5K record to 15:19 in the Run for Pie 5K in Libson, IA.


Eight days later he set the 10 mile record in the Des Moines Capital Pursuit with a time of 52:46 on Sunday, September 25.



Most recently, Ean lowered the Iowa half marathon masters record by more than two minutes with a time of 1:09:43 at the IMT Des Moines Marathon on October 16. He placed 8th overall.

QC Marathon

Aaron Golding, Jonathan Smith, and Chase Kress completed their first marathon and they did so in great time! Aaron finished in 2:45:36 to place 13th overall, Jon was 14th with a time of 2:49:12, and Chase ran 3:02:06 to cross the finish line in 27th. Also running for RWE was Dan Austin who placed 50th in 3:25:47.

QC Half Marathon

A total of 16 RWE members ran the QC half and 10 finished with PRs!



Mike Gille led the way with a 2nd place finish (1:07:48). Other finishers on in the men's division were: Brett Rosauer (4th, 1:10:50), Caleb Burke (5th, 1:11:08), Dalton Rice (8th, 1:12:49), Isaac Boedigheimer (9th, 1:13:22), Kevin Claus (10th, 1:13:40), Elliot Klauer (11th, 1:15:28), Sam Whan (14th, 1:16:58), Zach Gray (15th, 1:17:03), Rob Williams (24th, 1:18:41), Jordan Franks (25th, 1:19:11), Mitch Sand (27th, 1:20:21), and Matt Jung (29th, 1:20:49).



Brenna Gray was the top local female finisher with a HUGE PR of 1:26:58 to finish 7th overall. Allie Berens completed her first half in 1:48:13 to place 52nd.

QC Marathon 5K

Devin Allbaugh and Lauren Lamourt were the only RWE members in the QC Marathon 5K. Devin set the course record with a time of 14:53 and Lauren ran a PR of 25:48 to place 20th in the female division.

Twin Cities Marathon

Devin Allbaugh and John Parker ran the Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday, October 2! Devin placed 6th overall in 2:25:42 and John finished in 4:30:53.

Chicago Marathon

Dan Froeschle and Sam Long ran the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 9! Dan finished as the top Iowan in 73rd place and ran 2:25:44, which was a PR by over a minute. In his marathon debut, Sam finished in 2:43:26.

Blazing 5K

Also held on October 9 was the Blazing 5K at Water Works Park in Des Moines. Mike Gille led the way with a sub-15 performance of 14:40 to place 11th (Mike also ran 24:12 at the Augustana College Interregional Invitational on October 15...). Noah Healy was 21st with a time of 15:10, Elliot Klauer ran his first sub-16 5K (15:47) to place 31st, Dalton Rice ran 16:07 to place 33rd, and Aaron Golding finished in 16:52, placing 38th.


On the women's side, Annie Ertz finished in 6th place with a time of 17:41, Carina Collet was 9th in 18:00, and Becca Mallon ran 18:25 to place 11th.

Pumpkin Dash

On a beautiful day at Credit Island in Davenport, eight total RWE athletes competed at the Pumpkin Dash on October 23.



Birthday boy Ben Lloyd ran in his first race as a masters competitor, finishing the 8K course in 26:21, which is the 6th fastest time by an Iowa masters runner. Ben was 2nd overall.



Packing it up with Ben through the first half of the race was Kevin Claus and Dalton Rice. Kevin finished three seconds behind Ben to place 3rd in 26:24. Dalton was 4th with a time of 26:44.



Also competing for RWE on the mens side was Bryan Brooks, Elliot Klauer, and Jordan Franks. Bryan finished in 6th with a time of 28:27, Elliot was 7th in 28:28, and Jordan ran a personal best of 28:52 to place 9th.



On the women's side, Becca Mallon and Morgan Meseke went 1-2 with times of 31:19 and 32:23.
