    there are some concerns about AI in academia that we should take seriously, and try to look constructively at it as a tool and try to discuss how it can be used ethically and responsibly. This line of thought brought me to the idea of an animate interviewing ChatGPT to see what it had to say on the topic.

    The ENAEE General Assembly in October 2022 in Poland, elected Mr José Carlos Lourenço Quadrado as ENAEE President. Jose Carlos is a former SEFI vice president, one of the founding members of our Deans Council and a SEFI fellow. He started the position on 1 January 2023, succeeding Mr Damien Owens who finished his second term in function. A celebratory handover took place at an inauguration event on 6 January 2023 in Lisboa.

    TU Dublin along with Ulster University have launched the PROFESS 12 project which is funded by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) through the North South Research Programme. PROFESS 12 (PROFessional Skills for Engineering Students – Summer School to Achieve SDG 12) aims to explore and develop the professional skills required of engineering students to meet SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) with specific focus on the island of Ireland.
