Leading those in need of healing to our Divine Physician

Next weekend, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be offered at the Saturday evening and Sunday Masses. Catholics who endure any kind of illness that threatens life are welcome to receive this Sacrament where we know Jesus offers healing. Though the Sacrament will be celebrated before the community, no one will be asked to reveal any personal details.

Camp Northern Lights

Image description

Celebrating 51 years

Your contributions in the past have heled us to continue to provide this experience to those who otherwise may not have the opportunity to do so. We are once again running our special collection to help camp northern lights operate. Camp Northern Lights offers a wilderness camping experience for campers aged 9-13 from local areas as well as a leadership experience for high school students as volunteer counsellors.

The collection will take place on the weekend of February 4th and 5th, 2023.

Special envelopes will be available in the pews.

Kindly print your name and address clearly on the special collection envelopes provided. Your camp donation will be added to your parish tax receipt for 2023

In 2023, let's Stand for the Land!
Image description

Happy New Year and blessings for 2023!

A new year means a new campaign for Development and Peace. This year, our campaign kicks off during Share Lent with the theme "Stand for the Land." We will focus on our partners in Honduras and Columbia who are working to protect their land from exploitation, violence, and environmental destruction caused by corrupt governments and industry.

To orient ourselves to this campaign, we are excited to invite you to our first in-person workshop since 2020! Our workshop for the Diocese of Peterborough will take place Saturday, February 18, from 1 to 3 pm at St Anne's Parish Hall, Peterborough (directions here). We hope you can join us.

World day for the sick

Image description

The World Day of the Sick is celebrated annually on February 11th, and is a day dedicated to praying for and showing support for those who are suffering from physical or mental illnesses. It was instituted by Pope John Paul II in 1992 as a way to bring attention to the needs of the sick and to encourage people to support and care for them.

See Pope Francis' Message

To support the sick of our community, all who face illnesses of any kind that threaten life are invited to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the sick at Saturday evening or Sunday Masses on February 4th and 5th.
