Bob Gibson, Clare O'Neill, Daphne, Darcia Krushen,
Fran Munro, Jozsef Vincze, Lynn Wainmam,
Pauline Schumacher, Rick Crawford, Scott Owen,

Jesus, Our Lord, we ask you to have mercy on all who are sick. Give them your strength and love and help them carry this cross with faith. May their sufferings be one with yours, overcome the power of evil and lead others to our Father in Heaven.

Lord Jesus, hear our prayer, for you are Lord forever and ever. Amen.

Children's Liturgy of the Word Facilitator

Two positions each for up to two hours a week.

We’re looking for a couple of people to lead our church’s efforts to minister to children in our church and the broader community. The ideal candidate has significant experience ministering to children and parents and in forming volunteers.

Housekeeping

One position for up to four hours a week.

Praying the rosary with our church

Image description

The Rosary is recited and meditated upon before all weekend Masses in the church. All are invited to come and join in this special prayer

Saturday at 4:00pm, Sunday at 8:30am, 10:30am and 6:30pm

Let us continue to pray for the health of the sick, peace in our world and

for an end to war and hatred.

Start preparing for Confirmation

Before Jesus was put to death, He promised His followers that He would send His Spirit to comfort and strengthen them. The Sacrament of Confirmation is the final Sacrament of initiation, an excellent time for a young Catholic and their family to grow in faith and renew their Catholic commitment. At St. Joseph Church, those Catholics who are in grade seven or older are invited to begin the preparation process for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Put your empties to good use

Image description

Each year, the Knights of Columbus give thousands of dollars away to different charities and special needs. Much of what is given comes from an ongoing bottle collection program that everyone can participate in.

Knowing how this program helps many, the Knights of Columbus are grateful to all those who support this effort especially during the challenges of the past year when some traditional sources of revenue have been interrupted. A single bottle may not seem like a lot, but every bit of assistance helps sponsor worthy causes.

Empties can be put into the collection box found at the rear of our church beneath the red stairs any time. Vivat Jesus and God Bless.

Lay Spiritual Formation at St. Augustine's Seminary

Image description

Lay spiritual formation at St. Augustine’s Seminary is coordinated by the Seminary’s Institute of Theology. The Institute aims to assist in the formation of the laity by offering a range of academic programs and spiritual formation events. In this mission, the Institute aligns with the appeal of the Archdiocese of Toronto’s Pastoral Plan to promote education, catechesis, and formation in faith and holiness for those in all areas of society; to form and train those engaged in the intellectual apostolate, and to support an effective social outreach of justice and love.

Upcoming workshops and retreats include:

The cross at work

A Spirituality for Catholic Teachers
