    Does social justice have a place in engineering education?

    December 19, 2022 from 3pm – 4:30pm CET

    Currently Mike Murphy is coordinating a national initiative to transform teaching and learning across the technological university sector and he is offering a videoconferencing at the KU Leuven. In this seminar, Mike will share data from his recent work examining the potential for social justice (SJ) education within engineering education. Data suggest that most students would support more curricular content that could be supportive of SJ.

    Breaking through stereotypes: Professional roles for future Engineers

    December 19, 2022 at 5pm CET

    Sofie Craps would present her doctoral thesis at the Aula Emma Vorlat, KU Leuven. She developed a validated competency-based professional roles model by using a multistakeholder perspective with the aim to support students in developing a future identity as an engineer and in making well-informed career choices.

    Note: the presentation will be in Dutch. However, the manuscript is in English and so will be the slides of the presentation. Online attendance is possible.

    The recently published Erasmus Without Paper assessment report made clear that EWP works. However, some software providers do not yet fully comply with the EWP standards. As a result, data exchanges are not always successful, especially regarding inter-institutional agreements.

    145 projects selected for Erasmus+ capacity building in higher education funding


    The European Commission has announced the selected projects in 2022 for Erasmus+ funding to promote capacity building in higher education. These will be published once the contracts have been signed.
