Spring has just begun and it is time for us once again to begin anew. To think that two years ago during March our Scouting program would shut down. But now, we are coming back stronger than ever.

Rendevous Recap

— by Jack Lewy

Rendezvous 2022 was great. Not only did we have a total of 217 members attend, but we also had 3 very special guests attend. The first was the first-ever Gateway Region chief, our section’s very own, Dirk Smelser. The second of our guests was the mayor of Vancouver. She is a Vigil member of our lodge and gave some remarks during the evening show. And last but certainly not least, was Matt Devore, our chief Scout executive.

WICC

— by Bryant Gillins

The Wauna Inductions and Ceremonies Conference (WICC) is an amazing event that leads participants through a modeled experience of the induction weekend in hopes that they come to realize the deeper meaning and importance of it.

On the evening of arrival, attendees will be split up into small groups of 10 – 12 Arrowman called crews. In these groups, they will be given time to fellowship and mingle while playing games and doing other various activities. Later that evening, they will see an enthralling campfire program put on by the fantastic WICC staff. Following the campfire program, there will be a breakdown of the Pre-Ordeal Ceremony for all to see and understand the deeper meaning of.
