| Restoring the Sunday Obligation |
After more than two years since the start of the pandemic, our bishop has cancelled the dispensation from the Sunday Obligation, a dispensation enacted to keep the faithful safe. Now that most pandemic restrictions have been lifted, most of the faithful are called to return to the practice of participating in the Sunday Mass in person beginning this weekend. Except for those in some particular particular circumstances, it's time for all to come back to the practice of worshipping in our church. |

| Put your empties to good use |
Each year, the Knights of Columbus give thousands of dollars away to different charities and special needs. Much of what is given comes from an ongoing bottle collection program that everyone can participate in. Knowing how this program helps many, the Knights of Columbus are grateful to all those who support this effort especially during the challenges of the past year when some traditional sources of revenue have been interrupted. A single bottle may not seem like a lot, but every bit of assistance helps sponsor worthy causes. Empties can be put into the collection box found at the rear of our church beneath the red stairs any time. Vivat Jesus and God Bless.

| Papal Visit for Truth and Reconciliation |
Earlier, the Vatican formally announced that Pope Francis will travel to Canada from July 24-29. The historic visit, focused on Indigenous healing and reconciliation, will be the fourth papal journey to Canada and the first since Saint John Paul II’s visit in 2002. |
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops announced a nation-wide collective financial commitment in the amount of $30 million dollars to support healing and reconciliation initiatives for residential school survivors, their families, their communities and our Church. Our own diocese has agreed to pledge the sum of $400,000. |
Our Parish is happy to contribute to these efforts for truth and reconciliation. A new group is being formed to address these issues and to see how we can grow through this process. Those interested in assisting (especially those with an indigenous, First Nations or Metis background) are encouraged to reach out to our pastor. |
