Lourdes Reig Puig (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain) will present the New scenarios that European alliances of tech universities open up.

SEFI SUMMER SCHOOL

In the first week of May, under a blue and sunny sky, the first edition of the SEFI Phd Summer school Engineering and Science Education Research was launched in Leuven (Belgium). Finally launched, because the first edition was planned in 2020 but cancelled due the well-known COVID19 virus.

    TU DUBLIN CREATE RESEARCH GROUP IN ENGINEERING EDUCATION

    The application process for the 2022-2023 EDEN Mentoring Programme is now open.The Mentoring Programme was designed as EDEN members serving EDEN members and to provide a collaborative and mutually supportive professional development option for members. The current Mentors in the programme are EDEN Senior Fellows and EDEN Fellows, many of whom have established European and globally recognised reputations in the field.     CDEFI 2022 Annual Conference

    2-3 June 2022 - Poitiers, France

    The CDEFI organizes the 2022 edition of its annual conference of engineering schools in collaboration with ENSI Poitiers and ISAE-ENSMA. A welcome cocktail will be held on Wednesday evening, June 1. The aim of these two days is to develop exchanges between the engineering schools, to allow a general reflection on common issues in order to elaborate together strategic development axes in various fields.     From September 27th to 30th, ICL is hosting its annual conference with the theme Learning in the Age of Digital & Green Transition. 

    With this conference they celebrate 50 years of ‘Engineering Pedagogy’. This interdisciplinary conference aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences in Interactive Collaborative Learning and Engineering Pedagogy. The submission of papers is due the 4th of April.     November 28th to December 1st, 2022 - This award recognizes a relevant teaching innovation initiative in the field of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), which is characterized by its significant contribution and impact on HE. With this award, innovaHiEd Academy wants to honor the memory of its founder, Lueny Morell, a woman who was characterized by her ability to connect people and entities in favor of educational improvement, with a truly global impact. The winning initiative of the Lueny Morell Award will receive a monetary award of USD 2,000, as well as coverage of expenses associated with participation in the award event to be held during WEEF 2022 in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 28 to December 1, 2022.

The 2022 EQAF will be held in Timisoara, Romania from 17 to 19 November hosted by West University of Timisoara. The deadline to submit proposals is 22 July 2022. More information

    06-10 June 2022 - Uniersity at Buffalo, US. The 2022 IACEE World Conference takes place in the scenic Buffalo-Niagara region of Western New York State (USA). Hosted by the State University of New York at Buffalo, the conference features in-person sessions, Keynote, networking, and social events.

    For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option will be available for session viewing only.

    EUROPEAN HIGHER EDUCATION AREA

    The European Union is expanding its student and academic mobility programmes under its flagship Erasmus+ programme to cover countries worldwide under its new seven-year cycle 2021-27. Compared with the previous seven-year programme in terms of which mobility programmes with partners in the rest of the world were not possible, the significantly expanded Erasmus budget will, from this year, allow up to a fifth of funding under the scheme to be used for exchanges and mobility beyond the European continent.
