| Lindsay has a long history of school food work at both the local and provincial levels of Public Health. She was part of the group that supported the creation of Nourish in 2012 and has helped to coordinate Nourish Your Roots fundraisers in Pictou County. Lindsay is a passionate advocate for systemic solutions to health and nutritional challenges. She is excited to be working in this role to advance a universal healthy school food program for Canada! | School Food Programs in Canada and the Sustainable Development Goals |

Did you know that school food programs can be linked to at least 9 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Canada? The Coalition for Healthy School Food has prepared a report outlining the many ways that a school food programs impact specific SDG targets. This report will help to inform recommendations put forward about the best design for a Canada-wide School Food Program. |
