"Art matters because it's a form of expression for so many people, political, protest or simply therapeutic, art acts as an enabling platform."

"Art matters because it helps break down barriers - it can make you feel empathy for others outside of your own world view, and expand your perceptions."

"Making is a human need, a natural way of being.
I wonder if a bird knows I naturally walk and a skip or a hop is a pleasure? Or, if the bird thinks I skip because I need to, because I must, because I am human and humans skip? I wonder if birds just see people as things that sing sometimes, I wonder if they just see it as just something we do to communicate with one another? I wonder if a bird has ever sat outside my window before and watched me hang something shiny on my wall and concluded: humans make and decorate very naturally.
I wonder if a bird can distinguish human nature from a hobby, I wonder if it would see a hobby as part of human nature? I want to ask a bird what humans do because I describe birds as singers but, perhaps they would not."
Josie Rallsglyn
"Art is existence. Art is the act of putting something out into the world that didn’t exist before- screaming into the abyss of time and the universe “I’m here! I can see you!”"
