About Georgie
Georgie Fay is a multi-disciplinary artist and printmaker based in London, UK. At the heart of her work is a search for place, memory and connections to our landscape and history.
Georgie graduated from The University of Edinburgh after studying History of Art and Architecture and then completed an MA in Museum and Gallery Education at UCL, London. Her practice stems from her experience as an artist educator, and exploring collaborative processes has helped to shape her own art practice.
Georgie uses traditional printmaking techniques combining experimental drawing and mark-making with photography as a basis for expressing her themes. Historical objects and found materials all act as inspiration for the production of her etchings and monoprints. The multi-layered prints with muted tones create landscapes that tell imagined and embellished stories.
