ANNUAL CONFERENCE

SEFI2020 Engaging Engineering Education - Flashback & Keynotes

20-24 September 2020 (online)

The online SEFI 2020 Annual Conference attracted 365 attendees from all over the world. They could enjoy 4 keynote sessions and numerous parallel sessions in various interactive formats. Furthermore, they engaged in online debates and participated in informal gatherings such as ‘morning yoga at your desktop’ sessions.

Two keynotes from this year’s event are now available for all:

    • Focus on the exit to keep them in. Career development at the start of engineering education by professor Greet Langie (KU Leuven).

    • Climate change teaching and the COVID-19 crisis by professor Gerard van der Steenhoven (KNMI, University of Twente).

    • Celebrating and rewarding teaching: global collaborations for change by Ruth Graham

    • Escaping Reality: The Value of A in Augmented Reality by Pierre Dillenbourg

Five PhD students wrote blogs, in which they reflect on the successful doctoral symposium and all the keynotes.

We would like to sincerely thank the organisers from Twente University for their flexibility, creativity during the months of preparing the conference and the absolutely smooth 5-day-event that followed.
