Hi again!
I hear it all the time. “I can’t do that, because…”
It’s only another way of saying, “I could, if…”
I don’t buy it when you say you can’t.
I buy that it might be difficult. buy that you might not know how yet.
I buy that you’re already overwhelmed with busy things and this will cost time you don’t think you can afford, but that’s only because you’re making everything else more important.
I buy that it might be scary for you. I buy that it might be a long game, not a short one. I even buy that you might not really want it.
What I don’t buy is that it’s impossible.
This will make you uncomfortable. It’s meant to. It’s a tough love thing said because I want well for you.
You’re making an excuse.
We need to unpack what’s going on that makes it feel impossible.
We need to unpack what the if is in, “I could, if…”
Here’s a question to sit with. What is “I can’t” protecting you from?
If that stirred something, I’d love to talk it through with you. Give me fifteen minutes. Free, no obligation. Just message me.
Wishing you happy success,
Steve.
