| | | CALIFORNIA — Parent Voices CA is building momentum and power for future elections with the launch of its first-ever 501(c)(4) organization, Parent Voices Power (PVP). The new 501(c)(4) will strengthen Parent Voices' ability to educate parents about what's at stake during election seasons and advance its vision of free, universal child care. The announcement comes on the heels of Parent Voices joining as a member of the nationwide Child Care for All campaign, a coalition of parents, providers, advocates, and lawmakers fighting to secure universal child care across the country. “After 30 years of organizing, Parent Voices is taking the next step in building our collective strength with the launch of our sister C4 organization,” said Parent Policy Director Jennifer Greppi. “Parent Voices Power allows us to engage in critical electoral work by electing representative leaders, advancing key legislation and ballot measures, and building an informed voter base of parents. It is a dream come true.” Parent Voices Power's mission is to build parent-led political power rooted in the same love that protects our children. Led by Black and brown parents, we fight for the future shaped by us, not imposed on us. Through organizing, civic engagement, and political action, PVP is building the conditions necessary to confront unjust policies and to advance a future where care is treated as a public good, not a privilege. |
