| | Updates from the church office |
|
Jon continues to settle into his new role, he has enjoyed meeting lots of you, so please don’t hesitate to say 'Hi' or contact him with any building issues. Jon will be leading a new key review next month, we will be asking any member who has keys to fill out a form, so if folk can have a think about what keys their households have September went well with events and October has various lectures, connexional meetings, markets and conventions on site We will be doing a year review with the Church leadership team planning for the future based on the year just gone

| | Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this event happen last week. We had a very good attendance, and a great evening was had by all! We had a healthy retiring collection of over £630, of which we will donate half to the Methodist overseas aid charity "All we can". You can find out more about their great work at: https://www.allwecan.org.uk/

| | We're looking to start a Music Fellowship - a time to sing and/or play instruments together, learn some new songs, worship God and encourage one another in our music making. All ages, instruments and voices welcome. We're likely to meet on a Sunday afternoon, maybe once a month or so, following a packed lunch after the service. Contact Kate if you're interested or would like more information - [email protected] . |

| | Another Connexional Year ended on 31st August leaving £24447 in the HSBC account and £33615 with TMCP.
Payments of £157417 exceeded receipts of £142721 by £14696. This shortfall can be accounted for by a combination of a particularly slow year for event bookings income and some unexpected one off expenses. The setting up of the office and the business again and the buying at a discounted price the cooker, dishwasher and staging from Central Hall Westminster following the termination of the interim service agreement cost £7619. Also £8914 was spent on investigating and repairing the ceiling in the worship area. A further £3653 has been paid in architect’s fees.
Without these one off unexpected expenses we possibly would have broken even or made a small surplus.
