Some rain did fall! Thankfully there was no lightning. It come down pretty good for a short time. Some teams waited it out on the course and others came in but then went back out. We were able to get the week in.
Dan P and Nick D made a triumphant return this week. It was great to see them! They must have been working on their golf game while away from the league for they played very well in their sub role. I'm sure Jason and Kent were pleased with the result of the week.
Two weeks left in the 2nd Half. More movement between the top teams this past week. It should be a great finish with five points separating the top four teams. The top two teams play this week so we'll see if there is any separation or if one of the teams just below them overtakes them both. Should all come down to the final week! |

| | Just wanted to mention the remaining schedule. Only three weeks left in the league. The next two will finish up the 2nd Half and the the final week being Championship Night (1st vs 2nd Half winners) along with a season ending scramble. |

| | Some have expressed interest in giving curling a try and/or coming on down to the club during the season to watch. Both are excellent ideas and happy to provide more info!
For those interested in giving it a try we usually host a couple "Learn to Curl" sessions just before our season starts. That should be the last week of Oct. I will try to send something out to the league. The club's facebook page should have the info as well - Link.
During the season, which is Nov-March, the public is welcome to come and watch. We also have a bar with tap beer along with many selections in cans as well. Our main leagues play at 5:45 and 8:00 pm M-Th. Pretty much every night someone from the golf league is likely playing. I'm happy to try to set up a day for us to try to get together. |

| | If you are playing your round at a different time, please send your opponent (and me) a picture of your scorecard. Appreciate those that have done so already this season. I would not give it to anyone working in the pub for they have been misplaced in the past. There is a bulletin board as you enter the pub from the pro shop that has our Schedule & Standings sheet. Feel free to slip your scorecard into that holder. There used to be a folder to place cards into, but it seems that was removed after last season.
FYI - It seems that if you try to play only the Back Nine on the weekend, the course permits that one weekend a month. Please be aware of that, or plan to play 18 that day. |
